Student Administration System
The Student Administration System is UConn's online registration system. In
addition to enrolling in classes, you can access your registration appointment
time, browse the course catalog, search for classes, view your class schedule,
advisor information, degree progress report, grades, unofficial transcript, charges and payments, financial
aid information, and change your personal information.
Note: The Student Administration System User ID is a different ID from your NetID. It is comprised of 7 numbers and is distributed by the Admissions Office and found in your admission letter.
Login to the Student Administration System
- Access go.uconn.edu.
- Locate the Login System box and click the StudentAdmin link.
- In the Student ID field, enter the 7-digit number provided
to you by the Admissions Office.
- If you completed Part One of this tutorial and have logged in before, enter the new password you created. If you are logging in for the first time,
enter your initial password, capital W followed by your birth date in the MMDDYY format and an exclamation point ( ! ).
- Click the Login button.
Browse the Course Catalog and View English (ENGL) Courses
- Click Self Service > Student Center.
- Click the Search link.
- In the top right of the page, click the browse course catalog tab.
Note: The Course Catalog displays all courses the University
offers and includes course requisites. You must search the course catalog alphabetically by Subject.
- Click the COLLAPSE ALL button if the subjects are expanded.
- Click the letter E at the top of the page.
- Click ENGL - English.
- Scroll to ENGL 1010, click the Course Title Seminar in Academic Writing and read the Description.
- From the *Campus drop-down field, select the Campus you will be attending.
- To view the class sections for this course, click the view class
sections button.
- Set the Terms Offered drop-down arrow to the upcoming
term for which you will be enrolling in classes.
- Click the show sections button.
- To view all the sections of the course for this term, you may need to click the View All link at the bottom of the page.
- To view different subjects in the Course Catalog, click the Return
to Browse Course Catalog link at the top or bottom of the page.
Search for Classes
Search for open sections of ENGL 1010 on
your campus for the upcoming semester.
- Click Self Service > Student Center.
- On the right side of the page, click the SEARCH FOR CLASSES button.
Note: The Schedule of Classes displays the classes offered in a specific term and includes class times, location and instructor information.
- From the Term drop-down list, select the upcoming Term for which you will be enrolling in classes.
Note: During a class search, you must select at least two criteria, one of which must be Campus.
- From the Course Subject drop-down list, select ENGL - English.
- In the Course Number field, type 1010.
- Verify that the Open Classes Only check box is selected.
Note: Seats are released throughout Orientation/Registration.
- From the Campus drop-down list, select your Campus.
- Click the Search button.
- Click the OK button if asked if you would like to continue.
- Important! To view all of the sections offered, click the View All Sections link at the top of the listing.
- To view details about a particular section of the class, click the Section
number link in parenthesis.
- To return to your Class Search Results, click the View Search Results button at the top or bottom of the page.
- To complete a different class search, click the Start a New Search button at the top or bottom of the page.
- To exit the Student Administration System, click Sign Out in the upper right section of the page.
