Technology Tutorial

This tutorial familiarizes you with important technology-related services that you will use frequently as a UConn student.

The tutorial is divided into three parts:

Complete this section as soon as you have been admitted to the University.

  • NetID - Activate your NetID. UConn issues a unique Network IDentifier which enables access to certain computing and administrative services.
  • Go.UConn.edu – Brings together your UConn accounts, announcements, and news on a single page. You will also have access to helpful content such as weather reports, world news, To Do lists, and more! Log-in to start customizing your page.
  • HuskyMail - Access your UConn e-mail account and receive official communications from the University.
  • Student Administration System - Log in to view your financial aid status and respond to requests for information including the Online FERPA Privacy Waiver.

Complete this section prior to your Orientation/Registration.

Complete this section after Orientation/Registration and prior to the first day of classes.

  • HuskyCT (Course Tools) - Access Computer Technology Competencies (CTC) - These tutorials cover the new entrance expectations for computer skills you will use in many classes at UConn.
  • e-Portfolio - is a secure web site at the University of Connecticut for saving, organizing, viewing, and selectively sharing personal educational records.

For more assistance with Part 3, contact the Learning Resource Center at (860) 486-1187.
The Learning Resource Center provides technology assistance via telephone and on-line help to students in Storrs and the regional campuses. In-person workshops are available at the Storrs Homer Babbidge Library location and by invitation at the regional campuses.
